{"id":1407,"date":"2021-09-21T20:27:53","date_gmt":"2021-09-21T18:27:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nueva.afacatarroja.org\/?p=1407"},"modified":"2026-01-16T11:58:20","modified_gmt":"2026-01-16T10:58:20","slug":"afac-commemorates-world-alzheimers-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/afacatarroja.org\/en\/afac-commemorates-world-alzheimers-day\/","title":{"rendered":"AFAC commemorates World Alzheimer&#8217;s Day"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On 21 September we commemorate Alzheimer&#8217;s Day all over the world and in AFAC we are carrying out various activities to give visibility to the disease.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the main event, on 21 September, the commemorative banner was hung and the institutional manifesto was read from the balcony of Catarroja Town Hall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/nueva.afacatarroja.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/afac-manifest-2021-1024x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-578\"\/><figcaption>Poster of the main event held on 21 September 2021<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The reading of the manifesto was attended by local authorities, many volunteers and members of the association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/nueva.afacatarroja.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/acte-alzheimer-1-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-579\"\/><figcaption>&nbsp;Reading of the manifesto<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Moreover, we have been carrying out various activities throughout the week such as the Solidary Great Raffle; the awareness campaigns &#8216;Zero Omissions, Zero Alzheimer&#8217;s&#8217; and &#8216;Hands for Alzheimer&#8217;; the visit to the exhibition by the Moors and Christians Festival and the creation of a tree of memories. Finally, this activity will take place next Tuesday 28th September, Sant Miquel\u2019s eve, and will have the help of the IES Berenguer Dalmau of Catarroja.
